HORTUS MUSICUS
Hortus Musicus is a vocal and instrumental ensemble composed of 10 people coming from Estonia and set up in 1979 from the violinist Andres Mustonen. In all these years Hortus Musicus explored different languages: plain chants, hymns, medieval liturgical songs, from the French - Fleming school to the ‘300 Italian “maestri” to the Renaissance music. Moreover, they afford also Indian ragas, Armenian religious music, Jewish songs and contemporary music, some of them written on purpose. In this mix of music lives the secret of their longevity together with their famous creativity and freshness in performing.

FASCEGN, ARIMANS and TRUSEGN
The seven municipalities of Fassa made a deal to be more powerful and to defend themselves from their enemy: the Trusegn, people living beyond the Fedaia and San Pellegrino passes. People who was always up to predate and fight.
To protect their borders The Fasegn made up a special militia: The Arimans. Proud and brave warriors who for long time made Fassa sure in peace. The Backround of “Lidsanel history is this, between war and friendship, love and sufferance. Days spent in the fields of Buffaure and in the valley.
“Ciamp Trusan” in Ladin, or “Pian Trevisan”, on the way between penia and Fedaia pass, it’s the place named so because it is the site where the Fascegn and the brave Lidsanel final defeated the Trusegn.
