The seven municipalities of Fassa made a deal to be more powerful and
to defend themselves from their enemy: the Trusegn, people living beyond
the Fedaia and San Pellegrino passes. People who was always up to predate
and fight.
To protect their borders The Fasegn made up a special militia: The Arimans.
Proud and brave warriors who for long time made Fassa sure in peace. The
Backround of “Lidsanel history is this, between war and friendship,
love and sufferance. Days spent in the fields of Buffaure and in the valley.
“Ciamp Trusan” in Ladin, or “Pian Trevisan”, on
the way between penia and Fedaia pass, it’s the place named so because
it is the site where the Fascegn and the brave Lidsanel final defeated
the Trusegn.
